SURFING SPOTS IN NORTH ISLAND
Surfing is one of the best activities you can do in North Island. We spent 3 days pumping the waves and all I can say is: New Zealand is the best place for all surfing enthusiasts.
Let me take you to the surfing spots that we visited and don’t forget to add them up on your North New Zealand itinerary.
Aside from having a name that sounds like an island in a pirate’s movie, Shipwreck Bay is the best surfing spot for those who want to have long rides on the beach. It is near Ahipara. We spent the entire afternoon playing with its powerful waves.
It is the best place for experienced surfers. Piha is a black sand beach with strong beach waves and breaks. If you are looking for a thrilling surfing experience, this is the best place to be.
We went to this beach when we stopped by Cape Reinga. Its breathtaking scenery is the best one I have ever seen in my life. We enjoyed an early morning surf rush in Ahipara. I am so happy I included Ahipara Bay on my travel itinerary in New Zealand
This is a popular surfing spot in Auckland. If you don’t have any experience in surfing you can attend a surf camp nearby. In Muriwai is where I saw the best sunset. All surfing enthusiast should visit this place.
The last surfing spot that we visited is the Raglan beach. The place is ideal for surfing beginners. The waves are perfect for your surf training.
My New Zealand holiday is simply the best. The surfing experience is on the top my list. I will surely come back again.
